Nick Cutler
Captain

Nick is a hands-on professional who has logged more than 100,000 nautical miles at sea during a 20-year career starting in Sydney Harbor and encompassing all of the worlds major oceans. A qualified shipwright, Nick brings a broad engineering and boatbuilding background to compliment his extensive yacht racing and management experience. An extensive knowledge of the best cruising grounds in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas, Nick can confidently plan and execute the best itineraries for FREEDOM’s guests. Nick operates under a current MCA Deck Officers Class-4 certification with a command endorsement to 3,000 grt.
Louise Sutton
Purser

Louise is also a holder of the Yachtmaster Ocean certificate with Commercial Endorsement and is more than qualified to captain in her own right. Lou is a detail-oriented professional with extensive worldwide cruising experience focused on meeting the needs of her employers and their guests. Nick and Lou are consummate professional couple who can handle the needs of the most demanding guest while maintaining a fun and light hearted atmosphere on board.

Russell Draper
Chef

Russell is no stranger to the Freedom crew, after making his debut aboard in the summer of 2010.

An Australian formally trained Chef he has honed his skills in high brow kitchens in London and further afield in Sweden, where he lives (usually), and has furthered his experience working in the foremost ecological award winning restaurant Salt Och Brygga in Malmö.

Throughout his career he has been the private chef for several yacht owners and loves being on the water.

He was employed cooking for the Governor of Victoria throughout two terms in Australia, as well as in many highly respected restaurant kitchens throughout the globe.

Russell's style of food is adapted from around the world and he keeps his emphasis on healthy, fresh  and tasty food, not only well cooked but also well grown and sourced.

An enthusiastic diner himself, Russell strives to be creative and innovative while allowing the natural goodness of the ingredients to shine.
